We think that mountain bike photography has a greater place beyond some world wide web server and/or a magazine or book. Great photography is art and should be displayed boldly and proudly on the walls of offices, homes, bike shops and galleries etc. With that in mind, and with the great support of Shimano Australia, we have been invited to the 2018 Mt Buller Bike Festival in Victoria, Australia this weekend (March 10th-12th) for our first ever exhibition.
We picked the #trailsfromthedarkside theme we use on social media as black and white photography has a unique way to tell a story. It was a tough challenge to choose only 10 photos from all the submissions, and below are the amazing images that made the final cut. If you’re at Bike Buller this weekend come and have a look for yourself – the gallery will be located inside the huge Shimano set-up in the event village. Printed on fine art, textured cotton paper @ 70cm x 50cm, and using archival quality inks, they are beyond great when seen in the flesh – your phone or computer really doesn’t do these images justice.
All prints will be available for purchase at the exhibition with 100% of the proceeds going straight back to the photographer. And if you can’t make it then they will be available worldwide as a very limited run in our online shop, from early next week.
